Online Accident Logs

The Kansas Turnpike Authority's Online Accident Log allows you to retrieve preliminary information on any major non-injury accident, injury accident, or fatality accident that has occurred in the last fourteen days. When a fatality accident occurs, names of the victims will be withheld until next of kin have been notified.

These accident records are updated as information becomes available and as the situation changes. These preliminary reports do not contain all the information that will eventually be available in the official report. However, this does represent all the information the Kansas Turnpike Authority normally releases.

The Kansas Turnpike Authority is authorized to provide accident report information pursuant to the Kansas Open Records Act, K.S.A. 45-215 et seq. Documents may be copied or printed by the public. The Kansas Open Records Act allows withholding of information of a private nature where disclosure would constitute a clearly unwarranted invasion of personal privacy. K.S.A. 45-221(a)(30).
